Kerry Katona has revealed that she hasn't seen her daughter, Molly, for almost a year and admitted she 'hasn't been home to visit for a while.'

Kerry, who shot to fame as a member of iconic girl group Atomic Kitten, had a highly publicised relationship with Westlife's Brian McFadden and the two were married between 2002 and 2004.

During their marriage, the pair had two children together - Molly Marie, 22, and Lilly Sue, 20.

Just last year, Kerry admitted that she wanted her daughter Molly, who lives in Ireland near her dad, to have a baby.

She wrote: "I’m 43 this year and I want grandbabies. I can’t believe I don’t have a grandbaby yet! I said to my Molly, ‘my mum was 20 when she had me, and I was 20 when I had you, come on, bop one out, hurry up'.”

Kerry admitted in a recent interview with OK! that she hasn't seen Molly for a year.

She said: "Lilly and Molly are both coming home this week from Ireland for a visit and I can’t wait to have them back.

"I haven’t seen Molly in almost a year! We talk on the phone every single day, but she just hasn’t been home to visit in a while.

"Lilly is getting on great too, she’s really settled and has got a good job over in Ireland, I’m proud of her.

"It’s nice for me to see my kids flourish. I’ve done my parenting bit and now it’s their turn to live lives."

The 43-year-old star broke down in tears during a recent appearance on Abbey Clancy's podcast, Exhibit A.

During the episode, Kerry opened up about her mental health struggles and tumultuous life in the spotlight.

She said: "I remember sitting in rehab and I couldn't believe I let myself get so low.

"I kept thinking if this is in my DNA and if it is a genetic thing.

"The one thing I never want my kids to feel is unloved or not wanted by me, because that's how I felt.

"So I thought if this is something that I might end up doing, I got Molly and Lilly tattooed on my wrist because I thought I'd be so selfish to put my kids through that no matter what's going on my life."

The admission left both Kerry and Abbey in tears.

She concluded: "I really hope you get some hope and inspiration from this amazing podcast."
