Back acne, also known as ‘bacne’, can be tough to get rid of. But people say they’ve found ‘the only product that works’ on the pesky skin condition - and we're intrigued.
With thousands of rave reviews online, the cult spray is one of the brand’s bestselling products and is designed to treat and prevent spots.
One shopper said they had almost given up with the amount of creams and lotions prescribed by their doctor for acne until this product came along.
“My back has been covered in spots for well over a year and nothing has managed to clear them up until I started using this,” the five-star review reads. “Not only has it prevented spots from surfacing, it’s also helped to calm and rejuvenate the skin where acne scars had developed."
@alicia.lartey Did someone say body acne? Body acne is the bane of my existence and I try my best to keep it at bay for my confidence and comfort. The clarifying body spray from @muraduk is one of my favourite products to use to manage my body acne. It contains: 0.5% salicylic acid Glycolic acid Allantoin Glycerin Panthenol Niacinamide This ingredient combination helps to breakdown oil and debris in the pores, as well as potentially manage bacteria whilst brightening and soothing the skin. I’ve loved this gem from murad for so long, if you scroll through my page you will see me mention it on many occasions. It is spenny but the peace that this product brings me in regards to my bacne is priceless. #bodyacne #skincareroutine #exfoliation

“I never really leave reviews unless I’m blown away by a product and this has put a massive smile on my face, as I finally feel comfortable having my back exposed again.”
Another customer agreed with this sentiment, as they wrote: “Never stop making this amazing spray! This has been a game changer for me. Works so well at clearing spots up on my back! It dries very quickly and does exactly what I need it to do!”

One shopper simply called the product in question ‘a miracle in a bottle’. Need we say more?
What causes bacne?
Bacne can be caused by lots of different health and lifestyle factors and everyone is different. However, you may have noticed your acne flares up more when you’re on holiday or after a run. That’s because heat, sweat, and tight clothing can cause blocked pores and in turn, breakouts.
In some circumstances, acne is caused by hormones or genetics. If you're concerned, please contact your GP.
Where to buy the viral bacne spray
The viral beauty product everyone is talking about is Murad’s Clarifying Spray. Designed to prevent breakouts on the 'shoulders, back, and beyond', it’s made with salicylic acid (known to combat spots) and glycolic acid (famed for its exfoliating properties).
Blue lotus extract also features on the ingredients list to reduce redness and inflammation caused by painful spots. The spray doesn't have to be used on the back or shoulders either, as customers have said the product works on the face, chest, and bum too.

One customer wrote, "I have only been using this for about one month and have seen an amazing difference. I go to the gym a lot and get spots on my back and sometimes my bum, and since using this spray, it has totally cleared up."
The Clarifying Spray is currently available to buy on the Murad website for £49 and customers say it’s ‘worth every penny’.
